Coastal Region Development brings Tourism development

According to global data, 70 percent of tourists around the world visit beaches, U Yang Win from Myanmar Tourism Federation said.A majority of tourists are interested in visiting beaches while 30 percent of tourists are interested in exploring nature.Myanmar, which has many untapped coastal areas and natural resources, therefore needs to focus on the development of coastal areas. “Beaches should be promoted so that the world will know. Some visitors want to go directly to the beaches or want more direct access. We are not ready for that. We still need to invest in that,” said U Yan Win.  Beaches such as Ngapali, Ngwesaung, Chaungtha, Kabyarwa, Setse, coastal areas in Tanintharyi Region, and islands such as Gaw Yin Gyi Island, including the Ayeyarwady River water ways all need promotion.
