More than 20,000 visitors visited Kayah State in first eight months of 2017

More than 20,000 local and foreign visitors visited Kayah State in the first eight months of 2017 said the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism. Tourism destinations in Kayah State are gaining higher interest from visitors visiting community-based businesses and other tourist attractions such as Seven Stages Lake, Kyet Cave, Taungkwe Pagoda, Ngwetaung Dam, Hteesekhar Waterfalls. The Information Counter at Loikaw Airport, Loikaw and information counter office in Loikaw provide necessary information for visitors.1,132 local visitors and 2,662 foreign visitors visited Kayah State in 2014, 13,778 local visitors and 3,933 foreign visitors in 2015, 16,884 local and 6,374 foreign visitors in 2016 and 16,699 local and 5,447 foreign visitors from January to August in 2017.

 As the number of visitors visiting Kayah Sate in first eight months of 2017 is higher than of the entire year of 2016, the number of visitors is expected to grow higher in coming years.Tourists like to visit and learn about natural beauty, tourist attractions, diverse traditional custom and lifestyle.
