Bamboo village to be established in Naypyitaw

Myanmar Bamboo Growers Association (MBGA) is preparing to construct a bamboo village in Naypyitaw aiming to promote tourism of the capital city, according to local journal Pyi Myanmar.

An official from MBGA said the association has collaborated with a local business partner to build the villages which comprises bamboo houses and bamboo handicrafts workplaces.

It has already set the land for the project and is arranging further requirements to proceed the plan.

By creating the village as a tourist destination for local and foreign visitors, the association also expects local people will have job opportunities.
