China-Myanmar tourism forum to be held in March

The first China-Myanmar Tourism Cooperation Forum is set to hold in the first week of March to boost the cooperation between the two countries on tourism.

Ministry of hotels and tourism announced that the event will be held at MICC 2 in Naypyitaw on March 1 and 2 under the theme of “Tourism Cooperation-New Impetus for China-Myanmar Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.”

The forum is co-hosted by Myanmar’s hotels and tourism ministry, China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Chinese Embassy in Myanmar and China’s Yunnan provincial government.

Aiming to deepen bilateral exchanges in the tourism sector, total of more than 120 Chinese participants will join the event and about 180 Myanmar participants are expected to present at the forum.

Through the roundtable discussions, the travel agents from both countries will promote their travel arrangements and also exchange their tour programs.

The Chinese delegation led by CNTA’s vice chairman, Mr Du Jiang, is scheduled to arrive to Myanmar on February 28 and leaves Myanmar on March 4.
