Eden Group buys Sedona Hotel in Mandalay

Eden Group of companies recently made agreement with Singapore’s Keppel Land in purchase of Sedona Hotel in Mandalay.

Local news site The Irrawaddy reported that Eden bought Sedona Hotel Mandalay with $41 million and will transfer to Hilton Group to manage the hotel.

The two companies reached the purchase agreement in November and are expecting to sign a tripartite agreement with hotels and tourism ministry.

Eden Group is considering to rename the hotel to ‘Hilton Mandalay’ and Keppel Land will continue its management until Hilton takes over in coming January.

Singapore’s Keppel Land opened the hotel in 1997.

Eden Group has hotels in Yangon, Naypyitaw, Bagan, Inle Lake and Thandwe.
