First theatre of 100-cinema project opened
Paradiso Cinemas Company has opened the first cinema of its 100-cinema project in Hmawbi township, local newspaper The Mirror reported.
The "Hmawbi Paradiso Cinema" was opened on January 25 and the company also opened its office in Bahan township on the same day.
The cinema has capacity of 320 people and will screen three movies a day on week days and four movies a day on weekends.
The company announced that it will develop 100 cinemas throughout Myanmar mainly in the towns which do not have cinemas.
It targets to open up to 45 cinemas before the end of November this year and took five months to be able to open its first theatre.
