Italian luxury brand Furla has opened its duty-free boutique at the new wing of Yangon International Airport introducing Italian designed products in Myanmar.
Travel magazine TR Business reported that Furla has opened an 84sq m boutique in the airport in September in partnership with Singapore Myanmar Investco (SMI) featuring Furla’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.
The leathergoods house has recently opened a small corner of 5sq m in Kaohsiung International Airport in Taiwan recently following a string of other locations in Asia Pacific which include Siem Reap, Nagoya, Shenzhen and Sydney.
Furla is an Italian luxury company that that was created by the Furlanetto family almost 90 years ago in 1927.
Since the early 1980s, it began expanding the Italian accessory market to launch a franchising network.
Furla currently exports its products range from handbags and shoes to accessories to 71 countries.
