Government to establish tourism university in Naypyitaw
Tourism authorities are negotiating with Japanese university to establish tourism university in Naypyitaw, local based The Voice reported.
Myint Htwe, the information officer from hotels and tourism ministry, said Osaka University of Tourism will open a tourism university in Naypyitaw.
"We plan to construct the university in Napyitaw but detail plan is not discussed yet. At the moment, we are trying to promote tourism between Myanmar and Japan.
Officials from Osaka University and minister Ohn Maung met and discussed plans on developing human resources in tourism sector.
The very first tourism university is set to be opened in 2020 by using $200 million to mark 100th anniversary of founding Osaka University.
An international hotel will also be built along with the university and the students will get internship opportunities there.
