Hilton Nay Pyi Taw culinary masters won medals at Asian Food Festival

A chef and two barmen from Hilton Nay Pyi Taw won four silver medals at recent Asian Food Festival and Battle of the Chefs 2016.
The culinary master Chef Zin Maw Win, Hilton Nay Pyi Taw barmen Zwel MahnOo and Naing Lin Aung were among the Myanmar delegation, which brought total of seven silver medals to home from the event that was held in Penang, Malaysia, from August 18 to 21.
Chef Zin Maw Win of Hilton Nay Pyi Taw won a silver medal in the individual category for his salmon main course prepared in two ways.
He also teamed up with the barmen from his hotel and a chef and a barman from Le Planteur for the Western fine-dining category and the team won the silver medal for creating a stellar five-course menu for 13 people within four hours.
More than 1600 chefs participated at the Asian Food Festival and Battle of the Chefs 2016 and Myanmar sent total of 14 chefs from Inle (Pristine Lotus), Mandalay (Shwe Ingynn and Hot Pot), Nay Pyi Taw (Hilton) and Yangon (Le Planteur and Sedona) to take part in the festival.
Chef Zin Maw and four other chefs from Myanmar have been invited to compete in the Culinary Olympics in Germany in October.
