Himalaya Airlines operates flights to Myanmar
Nepal’s Himalaya Airlines will extend its flight to Myanmar and Malaysia in the second week of February with a brand new Airbus 320, The Kathmandu Times reported.
Starting from February 24, the carrier is a Nepal-China joint venture and it plans to operate two flights a week between Kathmandu and Yangon and the airfare starts from $320 for a returned trip.
The air service agreement between Nepal and Myanmar signed in 2006 and Myanmar is in top seven tourist source markets for Nepal.
Total of 25,7609 Myanmar tourist visited Nepal in 2016 and 15,284 of them visited Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha.
