Spanish hotel chain Meliá Hotels International opened the Meliá Yangon for business on July 31 marking as the first hotel operated by the brand in Myanmar. The five-star hotel is housed in Myanmar Center developed by Vietnamese realty giant, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, and located on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Bahan township.. The hotel has 430 modern rooms on offer, including its signature The Level suites on the top floor with 360-degrees views of the city and Inya Lake. Meliá Hotels International is one of Spain's largest domestic operators of holiday resorts and the 17th biggest hotel chain in the world. The chain currently operates 374 hotels in 40 countries under the brands Meliá, Gran Meliá, ME by Meliá, Paradisus, Innside by Meliá, TRYP by Wyndham, Sol Hotels and Club Meliá.
