Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) will start operating Yangon-Chiang Mai flight on November 4 according to the local newspaper 7 Day.
Captain Than Tun, the CEO of the airline, said MNA will fly directly to Chiang Mai twice a week as its fourth international destination and prepare to operate evening flights between Yangon and Chiang Mai on Monday and Friday.
MNA also has plan to expand its flights to Singapore by operating evening flights when the visa exemption between Myanmar and Singapore becomes effective on December 1.
"We are now operating daily flight to Singapore in the morning and we will operate evening flights five times a week when the visa exemption is in effective," another official from the airline said.
State-owned airline started its international flights to Singapore and Hong Kong in 2015 and later expanded to Bangkok in February, 2016.
