The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is working on gaining bilateral visa agreement for Myanmar and Thailand.

The Government of Thailand has proposed a 90-day bilateral visa which Myanmar’s Ministry is discussing at present.

The Ministry is currently cooperating with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to improve tourism between the two countries.

The rate of foreign visitors entering Myanmar through Thailand’s border has recently been increasing rapidly.

Moreover, to improve the Myanmar-Thailand tourism sector, the expertise and methods to develop coastal and marine tourism in Southern Myanmar are also being discussed.
