Myanmar to receive 600 tractors from retail selling program

Nederland based CNH Industrial Agricultural Mechanisation Department have agree to deliver 600 tractors to Myanmar farmers under retail selling project.

Convenience Prosperity Co. Ltd (CPCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd, is authorized to distribute CNH’s  New Holland Agriculture brand tractors and it has opened 14 after-sale branches throughout the country.

U Soe Hlaing, Director General of the department, said “The delivery of 600 tractors will take us another step forward in Myanmar’s wide-reaching agricultural modernisation program. These tractors will play an essential part in improving our nation’s crop quality, crop yields, and food security.”

Through Yoma Bank, farmers can purchase the tractors under three-year installment program with 10 percent down payment and the balance payable at six monthly intervals.

According to the agreement, CPCL will deliver 500 units of 75-hp TT75 tractors made in India and 100 units of 90-hp TD90 tractors made in Turkey.

Furthermore, New Holland Agriculture will also provide training on operation and maintenance.
