Myanmar warned guides shoes over Bagan pagodas
Authorities have warned tourist guide to make sure that their visitors have to take off their shoes before entering to the pagodas from Myanmar’s ancient city, Bagan.
DPA reported quoting an official from Bagan Archeology Department that the government will not only take legal actions against the tourists who fail to follow the instruction but also prosecute their tour guides.
At the moment, the department filed a lawsuit against a foreign guide for not stopping its tourist walking on the pagoda wearing shoes.
Bagan is a well-known tourist destination in Myanmar and sunset viewing over Bagan is a popular travel activity.
In the last three years, about 750,000 tourist visited the ancient city.
