New rest camp being developed in Pathein

A private company is implementing a rest camp project near the two famous beaches in Delta region aiming to promote tourism and create job opportunities, state-owned The Mirror reported.

An official from Mya Bay H&Co Devleopment said the company is developing ‘Platinum Pathein’ project on part of the road between Chaung Tha and Ngwe Saung beaches in Pathein township, Ayeyarwady Region.

It will invest $30 million for the project which will be developed on 18-acre land with two phases.

Phase 1 includes resident villas, 3-star hotel, shops, souvenir shops and car workshops. In Phase 2, the company plans to construct housings, shopping malls, restaurants, banks, petrol stations and Recreation Park.

The official said the project implementation has been finished about 20 percent and the company expects to finalize phase 1 of the project at the end of 2018.
