Locals recently found an ancient shrine at Mrauk-U archeological site in Myanmar’s western Rakhine State.
An official from the local archaeology department said the huge building found near Rampray Pagoda is identified as a shrine. The location is about six miles away from Mrauk-U.
The shrine, which is about 70 feet long, was found 10 feet beneath the ground and other architectural elements including a stone well were also found in the site.
Local villagers and Mrauk U archaeology department has been making excavating process for a week and it is expected to continue for one more month.
