Vietjet celebrates its one year of operation in Myanmar
Vietnamese low-cost airline Vietjet celebrated its one year anniversary of operation in Myanmar by holding a special gala dinner at Melia Hotel in Yangon on November 16 at Melia Hotel.
The airline announced that more than 200 people including the official from the government ministry and aviation body attended the celebration dinner.
About 100,000 passengers have flown with Vietjet between Yangon and Ho Chi Minh since after this international route was launched in October last year and the flight was recently increased from five time a week to seven due to the higher demand.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Vice President of Vietjet, remarked “Vietnam and Myanmar share many similarities both in economy and culture. There are more and more Myanmar tourists visiting Vietnam and likewise, many Vietnamese are interested in Myanmar. With the demand of traveling between the two countries increasing, it consolidates our belief in the development of this market.”
Through Ho Chi Minh City, the passengers can extend their trips to 17 famous tourism and business destinations in Vietnam.
