Yangon’s night bazaar to be opened in mid November

A night bazaar in downtown Yangon is set to be opened on November 21 relocating the city’s crowded street vendors to a better location.

According to the local newspaper The Voice, the night market has more than 5,000 small shops and is located on Strand Road.

The vendors mostly from main roads in downtown areas like Anawyahtar Road, Maharbandoola Road, Marchant Road and Bogyoke Aung San Raod will be given priority to be relocated at the bazaar.

City authorities provides 32 sqft shops and mobile toilets for the shopkeepers and allows them to sell their goods from 5pm to 11pm.
