Aung La N Sang likely to be ambassador of Myanmar tourism industry

An outline of agreement on appointing Aung La N Sang, a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champion, as ambassador of Myanmar’s tourism industry, was made according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism. 
 
Aung La N Sang, Myanmar born Kachin ethic, is currently the champion of ONE Championship’s MMA light-heavyweight and middle-weight classes.
 
“We are working on appointing him as Myanmar’s tourism ambassador. An outline of agreement has been made for the time being. Besides, there is a plan to appoint Morisaki Win, as well-known as Awin among the youth, as ambassador of Japan’s tourism industry,” said an official of internal and external relations and information branch of the Ministry.

“The outline of agreement to appoint me as Myanmar tourism’s ambassador has been made and I really appreciate it and am so excited for our Myanmar’s future,” said Aung La N Seng on his social media network page.
 
Morisaki Win is a Japanese singer and film actor who is a decedent of Myanmar. He appeared in a Hollywood movie “Ready Player One” directed by Steven Spielberg.
 
The number of Myanmar’s current foreign traveller arrivals is much lower if compared to that of Thailand.

Therefore, for development of Myanmar’s tourism industry, the country is doing promotion through participating in international tourism expos as well as granting visa free entry and holding internal tourism shows.
 
In 2017, Myanmar received over 3.4m arrivals of foreign travellers.
