An extended community-based tourism site located upcountry is ready for receiving travelers, according to a statement released recently by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

Located in villages in the Shwebo District, Sagaing Region, the CBT site is a place to visit which enables local and foreign travellers to study the glazed earthenware industry that has existed since the Kongbaung Dynasty era and to enjoy sightseeing of the local villages by bike.

Additionally, the travelers can experience the World Heritage listed Pyu ancient city of Hanlin through visiting the villages in that CBT site where a 100-acre bamboo plantation can also be viewed.
