A day trip by boat between Yangon Port and Kyaikhmaywun Yayle Pagoda in Thanlyin will be launched on March 17 according to Tint Tint Myanmar Company which operates the Yangon Water Bus service.

A double-decker will run on the route at weekends and leaves Botahtaung Jetty at 7 in the morning. The boat fare is K6000 per person inclusive of serving passenger lunch, coffee and drinking water.  “The boat trip will start on this coming Saturday and we have a plan to expand jetties on the route,” said Ko Lin, communications official of the company.

Tickets for the boat trip are available at Botahtaug Jetty as well as at Insein Jetty.

It will be a direct shuttle cruise with no stop on the route. Passengers will have two hours and 30 minutes at the pagoda for having lunch and a tour.

Tint Tint Myanmar is currently operating eight boats – seven capable of carrying 120 passengers and one 230 – on the Insein-Botahatung waterway with seven stops.
