The Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to a 65-metre long reclining Buddha image, is for some reason less visited among foreigners than the throngs of local tourists. But the century-old teak monastery is worth a quick stop on your way to the Shwedagon Pagoda. As for the reclining Buddha itself: Let’s just say it’s bigger than you expect.
