Aung Pyae Soe
Name: Aung Pyae
Soe
Country:
Myanmar (Yangon)
Job: Freelance landscape photographer
Where
is your favorite place to photograph in Myanmar?
My
favorite place is Bagan, an ancient city of Myanmar. The city filled with
pagodas is one of the attractions to me.
What
do you love about your job?
For
the moment, I have full attention on photography. I notice the beauty of nature
whenever I get a chance to travel.
What
do you dislike about your job?
Nothing
really. Because this is not only my profession but also my passion.
What
are the difficulties you face as a travel photographer?
As
a photographer, I will always learn new things.
I have new destinations to
explore and new challenges to face. I won’t ever be fed up with my job.
Tell
us about your favourite photo that you have taken in Myanmar.
This
photo was taken in the early morning of Bagan, the ancient city. One can see
the most picturesque scene of golden rays on the pagodas only in this place.
This scene will appeal to everyone’s eyes. At Bagan, all the seasons have their
own beauties to enjoy so we photographers never feel bored to record those
scenes.
On
a typical photography trip in Myanmar, what gear do you usually take with you?
Normally
I take these things: camera, lens, batteries, memory cards, hard drive storage,
tripod, laptop, camera bag, lens and sensor cleaning kits.
What
advice would you give to someone interested in becoming a professional travel
photographer?
Just
one piece of advice that is: don’t forget the importance of passion within
photography. A travel photographer needs patience, passion and enough time to
get a good photo.
