Government launches plastic recycling plant for Ngapali beach

Ministry of Hotels and Tourism said that a plastic waste recycling plant was opened with the aim of conserving Ngapali beach on January 8.          Nagapli beach, located in Rakine State, is a popular tourist destination among both local and foreign visitors.         

Therefore, the plant, the ministry said, was built with the aim of conserving the beach and its beauty while promoting tourism and waste free environment.
        

Under the guidance of Rakhine State Government, Ministry of Hotels and Tourism jointly implemented the project in corporation with Myanmar Hotelier Association (Rakhine Zone) and German based Stiftunglife Foundation.
